Since it was established in 2006 Ballet Emmanuel has strived for one thing… to glorify God through the excellence in the art of dance and to share it with the people around the nation. Now, they are coming to Winona and bringing with them a familiar face!
Growing up in Winona, Alyssa Schneider, daughter of Ron and Mary Schneider, began training in the art of dance at the Minnesota Conservatory for the arts. Attending Cotter high school, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and being involved in numerous activities around the community, Alyssa has always called Winona home. Ms. Schneider’s love for dance eventually carried her out of Winona to pursue a degree in dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and ultimately led her to Ballet Emmanuel.
Ballet Emmanuel is a professional, nationally touring ballet company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Along with its national touring schedule Ballet Emmanuel holds workshops for students with the goal of sharing the love they have for dance and the joy of worshipping through movement.
This non-profit, professional dance company will be coming to Winona to present its current repertoire titled “All Things New.” This contemporary ballet is an original concert depicting the story of love, loss, and sacrifice. Join us as we explore the greatest love story of all time.
