February 18

Bundles of Love meeting, St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 265 Lafayette, Winona, 6:00-9:00 p.m., clothing, quilts or knit or crochet. Community service groups are welcome to sign up for a meeting night. February 19

Harvest House will hold their monthly meeting Wed. Feb. 19, at 1:30 in St. Stanislaus hall.   Mass will be celebrated at 1:-00 with Father Paul Breza as celebrant, for those wishing to attend. There will be a business meeting followed by our Valentines party. Bring a valentine to exchange and an unwrapped prize for bingo.  Also bring a non-perishable food item for a needy family.  Lunch will be served. Sign up sheets for Day Trippers Theater “Always a Bridesmaid” April 3 and Old Log Theater “Steel Magnolias” May 8. February 20

The Whitewater Joint Powers Board will meet on Thursday, February 20, at 8:30 a.m. at Whitewater State Park Visitor’s Center, 19041 Highway 74, Altura.

February 23

Winona Area Coin Club will be at the AmericInn, 60 Riverview Drive, Winona, between 12:30-4 p.m. Anyone interested in joining or just curious about the club is free to stop in. Feel free to bring the family along. Membership is free. Free items handed out to new members joining while they last. Items will also be on display.

February 25

Sons of Norway will meet Tuesday, February 25, at 7:00 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church (Huff & Wabasha). David Schultz and Connie Miller will report on their extensive land and sea trip through Norway last July. The public is invited to join with the Nor-Win lodge members.

March 6

Cathedral’s Young at Heart will meet on March 6, starting with 12:10 p.m. Mass, followed  by a lunch of pork loin, mashed potatoes with gravy, glazed carrots pickled beets, apple sauce, roll, and lemon bars. Entertainment will be music by Msgr. Colletti. Make reservation by calling Marge at 454-3433 no later than March 3rd. Let her know if you need a ride. Cost is $3. All are welcome.

Overeater’s Anonymous meets Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. at 1717 Service Drive ( Faith Lutheran Church).

Al-Anon Family Group Thursdays, 7-8 p.m., St. Augustine Room, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 360 Main Street. A 12-step fellowship for families of problem drinkers. 452-4445 for more information.

Addicted? Set Free! is a twelve week program to help you achieve victory over your addicting behaviors. New members are welcome any time. We meet weekly at Calvary Baptist Church, 676 W. Sarnia St., Winona,  at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings.  For more information call 452-6850. 

Celebrate Recovery meets Friday nights at Pleasant Valley Church, 1363 Homer Road, Winona. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program. If  you are looking for encouragement, strength and hope in your life please join us. Our evenings begin at 6:00 p.m. with dinner followed by worship, large group and small group discussions. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness.  Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences.  A family support group meets in Winona at 7:00 p.m., on the second Monday of the month, at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue, in the Parkview conference room. The Widowed Persons Social Group (February) meets for breakfast every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at the Family Restaurant (formerly Country Kitchen), 1611 Service Drive, Winona. Dinners every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Culvers, 1441 Service Drive. All widows and widowers and/or guests are invited. For information or carpooling call Gen at 507-452-8334, or 507-458-4258.

Widowed  Meet  and  Eat. Socialization is the greatest need of widowed people.  Come and join us every Monday in February at 11 a.m. at Perkin’s.  Please call Gladys 452-1555 for information.

TOPS MN #823 (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) weight loss support group meets Fridays at 7:30 a.m. at St. Casimir’s, 626 West Broadway. For information call 452-5535.

Caregiver Support Group for Adults Age 55 & Better Group provides an opportunity to meet with other caregivers to exchange helpful tips, give and receive support, as well as learn about new resources. The group meets the 1st Wednesday of each month from 2-3 p.m. at the Elder Network office, 1756 Kraemer Drive, Suite 110, Winona.  Contact Renee Kreter at 452-0580 for more information.

Peer Support Network (PSN) is open 7 days per week. Hours are: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m-2 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. PSN is located at 122 West Second St. in Winona.

The Ribbon Warriors cancer support group meets at Callista Court, 1455 W. Broadway, every third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. We are all women who celebrate that we have had cancer and we are beating it. Ribbon Warriors is open to any woman who has been diagnosed with cancer and would like to come join us. If you have any questions you may call Diane Passehl at 507-452-2679.

Military Order of the Purple Heart meets the first Wednesday of the month at the American Legion, 302 E Sarnia St.  Winona, at 7:00 p.m.  If you are, or know a combat wounded veteran, come join us. Membership is free and we will keep you informed and help you navigate the Veterans Administration.

Alzheimer’s Disease and other Related Dementia’s Support Group, meets the second Wednesday of every month 6:00-7:00 p.m. Parkview Conference room, Winona Health. Our schedule rotates from one month open discussion and the next month has a program. If questions, call Diane Hanke 454-5419 or Cheryl Krage 494-7496.
