Car/semi collide (02/26/2014)

On Thursday, February 20, at 4:50 p.m. the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a two-vehicle head-on crash in the town of Milton. A 1998 Honda Civic driven by Nathan Moyer-Van Alstine, 25, of Alma, Wis., was traveling northbound on STH 35 when he crossed the centerline and struck a 2007 Freightliner truck which was traveling southbound and operated by Paul Mahlum, 65, of Holmen, Wis. Moyer-Van Alstine sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Winona Health by the Winona Area Ambulance Service. Mahlum was not injured. Assisting the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Buffalo County Highway Department, Fountain City First Responders, Fountain City Fire Department and Winona Area Ambulance. The accident remains under investigation.
