There is currently a full-court press supporting an Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution which would take away our right to vote for judges! This is happening this week in the Minnesota House.
We do not need another Constitutional Amendment. Why would anyone want to give up their right to vote? Why are we being disenfranchised from the judicial selection process?
All branches of our government are important, and the voting public deserves and demands the right to participate. To leave one branch of government open to the whims of whichever party is in power is a dangerous, slippery slope from which our society may never recover.
I encourage everyone to contact your Senators and Representatives and tell them not to support taking away our right to vote.
