Roselyn M. Wamhoff, age 84, of Winona, and formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Sauer Healthcare in Winona.
She was born on September 21, 1929, in Winona, to Henry and Helena (Benck) Wamhoff.
Rose was employed as a housekeeper and in house cleaning for many years. She enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitch, word search puzzles, gardening, collecting ceramic dolls, listening to harp music at Sauer, and attending the activities and sporting events of her great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be remembered for the many jigsaw puzzles that she would complete, glue, frame, and give as gifts to her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston.
Rose is lovingly survived by her sisters, Darlene (Lyle) Bechthold, Woodbury, Minn., and Betty Odom, Winona; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Vivian Brown and Henrietta Matzke; and a nephew, Glenn Peter Brown.
A Celebration of Roseís life will be held in the West Dining Area at Sauer Healthcare, on Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Rose will be laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery in Minnesota City in a private family ceremony.
