Jerome A. Daniel, 71, of Stockton, Minn., died on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at his home.
Jerome was born on July 31, 1942, in Stockton, Minn., to Cornelius and Susan (Merchlewitz) Daniel. He was raised in Stockton where he lived all of his life. Jerome graduated from Winona Senior High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964, where he worked as an electrician on the U.S.S. Constellation Aircraft Carrier.
Jerome was united in marriage to Maxine Board on August 7, 1965. He worked as a carpenter all of his life. He was a lifetime member of St. Paulís Catholic Church in Minnesota City, Minn. Jerome was very active in his faith and community.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Amy (Chad) Svir of Maplewood, Minn., and Dana Daniel of Winona; two sisters, Dolores Stein of Rochester, Minn., and Bonita Peterson of Plainview, Minn.; one brother, Harold (Diane Wells) Daniel of Altura, Minn.; and by his three grand-dogs, Cloe, Winni, and Pebbles.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview. There will be a Memorial Mass for Jerome at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, at St. Paulís Catholic Church in Minnesota City with the Rev. William Kulas officiating.
Jeromeís family prefers memorials be directed to the Oakland Cemetery in Stockton.
