Pamela Knight, age 91, of Winona, Minn., and formerly of Barrington, Ill., died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Winona Health.
She was born August 19, 1922, in Monmouth, England, to William and Millicent Day. Pamela was educated at the Monmouth School for girls and Stanway Finishing School. In her younger years she was a book editor and with the marriage to George Knight, she became a homemaker and mother to their sons Matthew and Jonathan.
Pamela sang with the Royal Choral Society, London, England, and spoke five languages. She was a master gardener and landscape designer. She designed many civic spaces in the communities where they lived. She was an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction books.
She is survived by her husband George, Winona; two sons, Matthew (Patricia) Knight, Boston, Mass., and Jonathan (Lynette) Knight, Winona, Minn.; four grandchildren, William, Grace, Samantha, and Olivia; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Doreen White.
Private family services were held at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare, Winona, Minn.
