Friday, August 13 WHAT MAKES A BIRD A BIRD?
4:30PM Hey kids!!! Grab your parents and join the naturalist for a demonstration on bird body parts. Demonstrations of the different body parts will be set up for you to experience. Stations will include fowl ball, gizzard grinders, a handy gland, feet are neat, fill the bill and feather features.
Saturday, August 14 BUILD A BIRD NEST WITH A TWEEZERS
2:00PM
House hunting and nest building for children. The naturalist will describe the three most common nests built by birds and the children will build a nest with their own tweezers. How well can you make a nest? Come find out!!
Saturday, August 14 BIRDS OF PREY
8:30-9:30PM
Come wind down at the Nature Center after a long day on the trails with a short slide show. Birds of prey will be presented, two owl adaptations will be demonstrated, and owl pellets will be dissected.
Sunday, August 15 VIEWING OPPORTUNITY
9:30AM-1:00PM
The naturalist will have viewing equipment set up at the top of Brady's Bluff (near the shelter). This point can be reached by following the Brady's Bluff signs (three trails from base of bluff). Stop up at any time and see what you see!! Identification books will be available for usage and questions can be asked at any time. We will not meet at the Nature Center for this program.
*A Wisconsin State Park sticker is required for all motorized vehicles entering the park
