Police ID dead man found in RV (05/07/2014)
By Amelia Wedemeyer
The body of 22-year-old Kevin Casserly was identified as the corpse found inside an RV last Thursday in Winona.

Casserly, who had been missing since this past November, was last seen near the Northstar commuter rail station in Anoka. His body was found inside a rented Anoka County RV after its occupants, who were part of a bachelor party on their way to the Kentucky Derby, discovered Casserly’s remains in an outside storage compartment after pulling into the Winona Shopko parking lot to investigate a foul smell.

According to Winona Police Department Police Chief Paul Bostrack, all of the evidence regarding Casserly’s death has been turned over to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department. “Our part, for the most part, is over,” Bostrack said.
