Pickup and classic car collide (06/25/2014)
On June 19, at 12:48 p.m., the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on State Trunk Highway 35/54 in Centerville, Wis. An eastbound 1998 Chevrolet S10 pickup driven by Earl R. Stevens, 86, of Trempealeau, Wis., attempted a left turn and drove into the path of a westbound 1935 Chevrolet coupe driven by Chester D. Renick, 72, of Lafayette, Ind. Chester Renick and a passenger in the coupe, Rita A. Renick, 66, also of Lafayette, were transported to Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis. by Tri-State and Winona ambulances for non-life threatening injuries. Stevens was treated and released at the scene.

Assisting at the crash scene were the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, the Trempealeau Police Department, Galesville Police Department, Galesville Fire Department and the Trempealeau First Responders and Fire Department.
