What have we done to America? (08/15/2004)
From: David Foss

Galesville, Wis.

If all those who died fifty years ago could be revived, what would they think of today's world? Would they be rejoicing or would they be shedding tears of disbelief? Would they become aghast at what they were now seeing and hearing? Would they also become embarrassed, nauseated and incensed as a result of all the demoralizing changes that have come upon America? Would these people think they were on a planet other than earth?

Why haven't we taken notice of the widespread moral degeneration in America and done something about this national problem? The moral foundation of America has been slowly chiseled away and weakened and is now crumbling before us.

The folks of fifty years ago might ask: "How did all this perversion come upon America? Why have Americans allowed a few amoral perverts to flood America with vileness? Why don't the vast majority of Americans do something about this obscene situation?"

These folks would probably upchuck (toss their cookies) at the perversion within America. Here is just a short list of horrendous changes that would surely infuriate and disgust them: 1) hatred toward God and Biblical Christians, 2) disrespect toward those in authority, 3) disrespect toward parents, 4) disrespect toward teachers, 5) disrespect toward pastors, 6) murder in schools, 7) hatred toward that which stands for good, 8) rampant divorce, 9) disrespect for life - abortion, 10) widespread teen pregnancy, 11) vile disrespect for the highest office of the land, 12) immoral lifestyles, 13) pagan religions and cults abound, 14) evil organizations destroying good, 15) widespread crime, 16) widely accepted cohabitation, 17) increasing adultery, etc.

There is a much longer list of demoralizing things that do not belong in America. Why don't these offensive atrocities instill in us a desire to fight against evil and bring good back to America's culture? America needs changes for the better, not for the worse. We need a conscience inflamed with the desire to do good and defeat evil.

How can Americans not say "God, what have we done to America?!"
