Contacting the floor across the center line with any other part of the body is illegal. (Reminder: hair touching the net is not illegal.)

ADULT TOUCH FOOTBALL-TWO WINONA TEAMS BOUND FOR THE STATE TOURNAMENTS

Two Winona touch football teams are representing Winona in the 2003 Minnesota Sports Federation Touch Football State Tournaments held October 18-19th, 2003 in Bloomington-Dred Scott Fields. Schyde's/Eagle's Club will compete in the State Class C Tournament, Saturday, 8:30 a.m. while Athletic Club/Rocco's (last year's Class "C" Champions) will now move up a class and play in the Class "B" State Tournament, Saturday, 4:30 p.m. Good luck-have fun and again represent Winona well!

MEN'S & WOMEN'S ADULT BASKETBALL REGISTRATION

Team registration is now being taken at the Park Recreation Office for Men's and Women's Basketball. The deadline for this registration is Monday, November 3, 2003 at 4:30 p.m., with play anticipated to begin the first week in December and finish in Mid-March. To register, we need to know your team or sponsor's name, manager's name, address, home and work phone numbers and your division of play. The team's total fees of $300.00 and a preliminary roster are due at the time of registration; deposits are not taken. Do not wait until the last minute to register or you may be too late to get in and your teammates may not be too happy with you. It is our intent to offer three Men's Division's, Division I, II, and III; providing we get enough teams in each division. We anticipate Div. I and Div. II playing on Monday nights at Winona State University and Div. III on Wednesdays at the "New " Middle School. It is our intent to offer one Women's Division, unless we get more teams to start another division. (This will be our 5th year for Women's Basketball with four teams last year-hopefully we add a couple more teams this year-it was a fun league.) We anticipate the Women's League playing on Thursday nights at Winona State University. Information has been sent out to all of last year's managers, including an alignment chart based on last year's results. Any manager who did not receive the information or any new teams interested in registering, please call the Park Recreation Office and we will send you the information or if you wish, you may stop in City Hall and we will give you the necessary information. If you have any further questions, call the Park Rec. Office at 457-8258.
