Statement of Purpose

and Effect

of Proposed Ordinance

NOTICE: An ordinance has been introduced for passage before the City Council of the City of Winona, Minnesota, the purpose and effect of which is to prohibit in any structure containing three or more dwelling units any fire or open flame on any balcony above ground level or on any ground floor patio within 15 feet of the structure. This ordinance would also require an approved water supply for fire protection for all buildings or portions of buildings hereafter constructed or moved into or within the City.
