The Trempealeau County FSA Committee is seeking minorities or women, to participate on the Farm Service Agency County Committee as an Advisor.
The Farm Service Agency is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture that administers federal arm programs. Each County Committee consists of three members, elected by fellow farmers.
In addition, each Committee may have an advisor. The Advisor's responsibility is to serve as a representative of under served communities in the county and ensure that their interests are fairly treated. This is a paid position for the time the committee meets and usually amounts to $40-50 per meeting. The committee usually meets once a month, in addition to one training session.
