Treasure's Galore, a nonprofit apparel consignment store in Winona, recently presented a $10,000 endowment gift to the Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical Foundation. Treasures Galore has provided annual scholarships to Southeast Tech students for several years. The consignment shop, led by a sixteen member board of directors is located in downtown Winona. It has been offering nice, gently-used clothing to the community for over 32 years. The generosity of the nonprofit organization has stretched far and wide across the region as they have given over 100 significant donations throughout the years. "We felt the Technical College was well deserving of scholarship support and we recognize the contributions their graduates make to the community," said Mary Bergland of Treasures Galore, "Their impact is felt throughout the community. We especially want to acknowledge the needs of non-traditional students."
The Treasures Galore store employs two part-time employees, Jeanette Modjeski-Welch, Store Manager, and Barbara Corey, Assistant Manager. The organization is comprised of over 60 volunteers, led by Irene Holan.
