SUBJECT: Public Hearing - Pelzer Street Wetland Application
On Monday, August 1, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 207 Lafayette Street, the Winona City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the matter of a wetland application relating to a public transportation and linear utility project.
The application has been submitted on behalf of the City of Winona, and relates to the proposed realignment of Pelzer Street (northerly and easterly of its intersection with Theurer Boulevard). As a result of this project, 1.5 acres of Type 3 Wetland will be impacted. Given this, the application proposes to mitigate these impacts through on-site replacement (1.1 acres) and the acquisition of 1.9 acres of wetland credits from the Minnesota Wetland Bank.
