As summer starts to wind down, members of Winona Women in Business continue to keep busy. The WIB board is proud to report that the ‘Dad's Belgian Waffle Breakfast' fundraiser was successful. This event enables WIB to eliminate membership fees. The WIB board would like to thank all who sold tickets, worked, and ate at the event.
Upcoming WIB events include the monthly program to be held on Thursday, August 18 at the Tau Center. This is a special program as Dr. Todd Tamlyn of Winona Community Memorial Hospital will be speaking on Breast Health and how to stay healthy. Breast Cancer survivors are encouraged to attend.
WIB is also asking for nominations for the 2005 Biennial Outstanding Women's Awards which will be presented at the October WIB program to be held at Signatures on Thursday October 27. Awards will be given in the following categories:
Outstanding Women of Business, Human Service, Government, Health & Wellness, Education, Land & Home, Arts & Humanities, Young Woman (age 22 and younger).
This is an exciting event, nomination forms are available at Prudential Properties Plus 724 E. Broadway St. All nominations must be returned on or before August 31.
