For the 13th consecutive year, Merchants Bank will be offering for area businesses one of the nation's most popular financial management seminars.
The seminar "Managing and Financing Independent Business: Practical Tools for Control, Survival and Success" will be held at two locations in southeastern Minnesota, giving area business owners, managers and entrepreneurs several options for attendance. The two-day program will be held:
·October 18-19 at Cedar Valley Golf Course between Winona and La Crosse
·October 20-21 at Rochester Golf and Country Club
The seminar curriculum covers topics ranging from understanding financial statements and monitoring cash flow, to negotiating with banks and learning the rules of the "banking game."
This practical, interactive seminar will be led by Steven Hegg of Business Resource Services out of Seattle, Wash. Business Resource Services is nationally known for its financial seminars for business owners and managers. The company is represented on the faculty for a number of national banking schools.
The seminar is beneficial for business owners, key managers, financial officers, entrepreneurs and business advisors. Participating Certified Public Accountants are eligible for 16 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit.
Since beginning the coordination of this annual seminar in the early 1990s, more than 300 area business men and women have attended this seminar sponsored by Merchants Bank.
