I agree with Ken Chupita about spending a million bucks to save $66,000. I had that figured out to be 10 to 15 years before the city would recapture the money spent also. I agree also with him about the technology bit. Oh, boy, you saved 66,000 dollars that year. Whoopee. But ya had to spend a million bucks to do that. Isn’t that going out to buy a new hammer on sale for 5 bucks off, even though you already have 3 unused ones. “Well, I just saved 5 dollars,” my cousin would say. Or, like buying 2 things to get a 3rd for free, even though you’ll only use one. Same kind of thinking, if you ask me.
