Winona Noon Lions fill 500 Christmas dinners

The Winona Noon Lions filled 500 grocery bags with all the fixings for a great holiday meal. The Lions, along with their family and friends, completed the annual fill in about two hours. The time was spent busily packaging potatoes, green beans, cranberries, apples or oranges, ham, etc.

Pictured above is the assembly line of workers filling the individual bags. This has been a long tradition of the Noon Lions and its partnership with Winona Volunteer Services.

The evening is spent with much laughter and merriment as the Lions and friends complete their tasks knowing that their efforts will ensure that these families can enjoy a warm holiday meal. For this is the season to be with family while sitting around the table.

The Lions extends its warm wishes for a safe and enjoyable holiday and a happy New Year. If you are interested in becoming a Lion, please call or text Jack at 507-458-6315.
