Woman killed by train in Alma




A 70-year-old Albert Lea, Minn., woman died after she was struck by a train last weekend. 

Linda Sanden was reportedly struck by a train on the 300 block of South Main Street in Alma on July 18 at around 12:23 p.m. She and a family member were preparing to fish, and she was taking fishing equipment over the railroad tracks, according to the report. Train crew members tried to stop the train and let Sanden know it was coming, but were ultimately not able to stop in time, according to the report.
