Immanuel United Methodist Church announces new minister

Kathleen Svien began her ministry on June 28, 2020, at 10 a.m. Kathleen is married to her husband David who is a retired forester. They have two grown children, Peter and Willow, and three grandchildren, Gracie, Shelby and Jubilee. Kathleen has been active in the Winona community at Wesley, Watkins Home, Lake Winona Manor and at The Gathering Place in the winter.

Svien believes everyone needs encouragement and sustenance in their spiritual journey. Svien has the desire to “Feed the Sheep” to make it so that people are reminded of why they are Christians.

Svien’s gifts revolve around being a servant. Svien’s mission is to share her faith to help people see God in their lives and grow in their faith.

Immanuel is a small congregation with a big heart and we welcome Svien and her family to the church family. The church welcomes and invites anyone in the neighborhood and greater Winona who might be searching for a church family to come and see what Svien may have to offer you in your faith journey, whenever you may be in that journey.
