Birthright of Winona plans to hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 4, at 1 p.m. in the Willow Brook Community Room, 1420 East Burns Valley Road. All Birthright volunteers and anyone interested in Birthright are encouraged to attend.
The Hiawatha Valley Civil War Round Table will meet on Thursday, January 8, at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson Street, Winona. The Rev. Tim Forester will deal with a topic rarely covered in his presentation entitled, “Civil War Chaplains.” All are invited to this unusual event, and refreshments will be served.
Cathedral’s Young at Heart will meet on January 8, starting with 12:10 p.m. Mass followed by a lunch of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, creamed peas, cottage cheese with mandarin oranges, roll, and chocolate cake. Entertainment will be harpist St. Mary Jo Baldus. Make reservations by calling Marge at 454-3433 no later than January 5. The cost is $3; all are welcome.

Caregiver Support Group for Adults Age 55 & Better Group provides an opportunity to meet with other caregivers to exchange helpful tips, give and receive support, as well as learn about new resources. The Ribbon Warriors cancer support group meets at Callista Court, 1455 W. Broadway, every third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. We are all women who celebrate that we have had cancer and we are beating it. NAMI Connection: A Mental Illness Support Group This self-help group for people recovering from mental illness is a place to find acceptance, support and friendship. It meets every Monday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the PSN Building, 122 West Second Street. There is no fee, just walk in and join the group.
