Club learns about Bay State Milling

On July 29 Dustin Sanborn, operations manager for Bay State Milling, spoke to the Learning Club at the Winona County History Center about the history of and operations at the Winona site since 1899. He generously answered questions for up to an hour about the varieties of flour produced here, which include traditional bakery, whole wheat, rye, organic and specialty. He stressed that top quality in the products produced has been a guiding norm for over 100 years. He also explained why the expansion and consolidation now underway has been so important for the company.
