Friday, February 7

•    At 9:32 a.m. officers arrested Sarah Rose Davis, 39, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. According to the report, officers found a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine and hypodermic needles in Davis’ vehicle on the 1650 block of Kraemer Drive. 

•    At 2:09 p.m. officers ticketed Andrew Troy Aurentz, 36, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting at Walmart. 

•    At 11:50 p.m. officers arrested Amy Ann Brown, 30, of Minnesota City, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of fourth-degree driving while intoxicated. According to the report, officers initially pulled over Brown for a hands-free driving violation on Fourth and Johnson streets. A breath test reportedly measured her blood-alcohol content at 0.09 percent. 

Saturday, February 8

•    At 1:13 a.m. officers arrested Frederick Anthony Douglas, 19, of Rochester, Minn., and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fourth-degree driving while intoxicated. According to the report, officers initially pulled over Douglas for speeding on Grand and 11th streets. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.12 percent. 

•    At 1:15 a.m. three women reported that their coats were stolen from a booth at Tavern 129.

•    At 5:37 p.m. officers ticketed Gabrielle Denise Hinton Jackson, 40, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting at Walmart. 

Sunday, February 9

•    At 2:34 a.m. officers arrested Leo Arturo Palacios Hernandez, 30, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of second-degree driving while intoxicated, driving after revocation, and driving without insurance. According to the report, officers observed Hernandez go through a stop sign and almost hit a parked car on Fifth and Market streets. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.18 percent. 

Monday, February 10

•    At 12:50 p.m. a man reported that his backpack containing a Winona State University laptop was stolen from a vehicle parked on Seventh and Center streets. 

Tuesday, February 11 

•    At 12:18 a.m. officers arrested Dalton Lee Volkman, 27, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of receiving stolen property and gross-misdemeanor attempt to escape the motor vehicle tax on the 600 block of East Fourth Street.

 

Winona County 

Friday, February 7

•    At 7:06 p.m. deputies arrested a 24-year-old Goodview man on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Highway 76 and County Road 17 after initially pulling him over for reportedly having an obscured license plate. Blood test results are pending, according to the report. 

Saturday, February 8

•    At 8:52 a.m. deputies arrested Ryan Anthony Lantz, 25, of Bloomington, Minn., and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of theft of a motor vehicle, fifth-degree assault, second-degree assault, tampering with a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident and driving after suspension. According to the report, Lantz stole a vehicle on the 45000 block of County Road 12. Someone noticed and reportedly used another vehicle to try to block Lantz in and prevent him from driving away. Lantz then reportedly drove into the other vehicle before driving away. No injuries were reported. Deputies later located Lantz. 

•    At 5:39 p.m. a woman reported that some tools with a combined value of about $400 to $500 were stolen from her garage on the 46000 block of Oak Hill Lane. 

•    At 8:26 p.m. deputies arrested Clayton James Burkholder, 20, of Utica, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the report, officers initially pulled over Burkholder for speeding on county roads 6 and 117. Officers reportedly found marijuana paraphernalia in the vehicle. 

Sunday, February 9

•    At 10:41 p.m. deputies arrested Duane Melvin Peterson, 68, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree domestic assault on the 25000 block of Miner Valley Road. 

Monday, February 10

•    At 11:36 p.m. deputies arrested Gabrial Steve Bolduan, 22, of Rollingstone, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree domestic assault causing fear. According to the report, Bolduan hit and punched someone in Rollingstone.
