Auth receives Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy Award

Emily Auth has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy Award at Saint Anne of Winona, honoring Auth’s commitment to Benedictine’s core values and mission.

“I am honored to receive the Sister Claudia Living a Legacy Award. The Benedictine values of hospitality, stewardship, respect, and justice closely mirror my own personal values. I want to thank all of the residents, families, volunteers, board members, and wonderful co-workers that I have had the opportunity to work with. You have become my extended family and make Saint Anne of Winona a great place to work. I feel fortunate to have a job I truly enjoy and can help make a difference in others’ lives,” Auth said.

Auth works as an administrative assistant in Callista Court, the assisted living portion of the Saint Anne campus. She also performs a number of other functions for Saint Anne, including working with the Operations Board and the Foundation Board, participating in the Mission & Values Integration Committee and training others across the campus. The Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy Award is given to one person at each of Benedictine’s locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and North Dakota. Authwas chosen from a number of nominees across the Saint Anne campus, all nominated by their employee peers. Voting is also conducted by employees. The recipients are recognized at the Benedictine Annual Conference in the Fall.

Saint Anne Executive Director Carol Ehlinger said the nomination submitted for Auth was perfect. “Emily is an outstanding associate. She exemplifies the true meaning of hospitality. As the administrative assistant at Callista Court, she is the hub of the building as she answers calls and directs guests as they come to the reception desk. She warmly greets all guests with a smile and a ‘how can I help you?’ She not only assists people in getting to their destination within the building, if needed she will personally take them,” said Ehlinger.

Residents think of Auth as “the heart of Callista Court.” The nomination goes on to say, “Emily goes above and beyond in her administrative assistant role at Callista Court and is humble in doing so. We are very grateful to have Emily at Callista Court.”
