Winona Police 

Tuesday, August 18

•    At 8:35 p.m. officers received a report that cash was stolen from someone’s hand on the 350 block of Mankato Avenue. 

Wednesday, August 19

•    At 10:41 a.m. officers arrested a juvenile male and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of second-degree domestic assault after he reportedly threw wood trim at another juvenile on the 800 block of West Ninth Street. 

Thursday, August 20

•    At 2:48 a.m. officers cited Angel Abraham Najera, 21, of Winona, and Joshua Rafael Peil, 20, of Winona, with having a loud party on the 300 block of Mankato Avenue.  

Friday, August 21

•    At 12:51 a.m. officers cited Dylan Bradley Hane, 22, of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., with public consumption of alcohol after he reportedly carried an open bottle of beer on Third and Lafayette streets. 

Saturday, August 22

•    At 8:42 p.m. officers arrested Jesse Eli Culp, 28, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of domestic assault after he reportedly punched someone’s face several times on the 400 block of Mankato Avenue. 

Monday, August 24

•    At 8:47 p.m. officers arrested a 16-year-old male from Winona and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of domestic assault after he reportedly pushed someone and struck their face on the 1700 block of Kraemer Drive. 

Tuesday, August 25

•    At 6:25 a.m. officers arrested Tracy Paul Swails, 49, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of domestic assault causing fear and harm after he reported grabbed someone’s throat and threw them on the 500 block of Lafayette Street. 

 

Winona County 

Thursday, August 20

•    At 10:03 a.m. a 16-year-old male was taken to Winona Health for the treatment of injuries after being involved in a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle on County Road 25. The crash is still under investigation.

Saturday, August 22

•    At 2:33 a.m. deputies arrested Frederick Anthony Douglas, 20, of Rochester, Minn., and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of gross-misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and driving after revocation. He was initially stopped on Fourth and Main streets for having a headlight that was not working, according to the report. 

Sunday, August 23 

•    At 12:09 a.m. deputies arrested Hannah Rose Simon, 19, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. She reportedly had a vaping device with THC oil in it on Broadway and Laird Street. Deputies also cited Nathaniel Kaefela Yacob of St. Paul with possession of a small amount of marijuana. 

•    At 12:34 a.m. deputies arrested Michael Thomas Walch, 24, of Minnesota City, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of gross-misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, and driving after revocation in Elba.

•    At 1:37 a.m. deputies arrested Isaac Christopher Larrazee, 19, of Strum, Wis., and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of driving while intoxicated. He was reportedly stopped initially for having a brake light that was not working. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.10 percent. 

 

 

Trempealeau County 

Saturday, August 22

•    At 4:30 p.m. deputies received a report of a single-vehicle crash with injuries. Two individuals were taken by Mayo helicopter for the treatment of unknown injuries. The crash is under investigation. 

 

Buffalo County 

Thursday, August 20

•    At 12:45 a.m. a 51-year-old Buffalo City, Wis., man sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by Mayo helicopter for treatment after being involved in a single-motorcycle crash on State Highway 37 in the Town of Modena.
