In addition to seeing patients in the pediatric and adolescent medicine department at Winona Health, Jessica Nelson, certified nurse practitioner, is now also spending some of her time seeing patients of all ages at Main Street Clinic at the corner of Fourth and Main in downtown Winona.
“I’m looking forward to adding time at Main Street Clinic to my schedule. I think the care model at Main Street Clinic is a good solution for some of the families I see at the clinic,” said Nelson. “Main Street Clinic is a great, low-cost option when anyone in the family has a quick-care need or would like something that’s been bothering them checked out.”
Main Street Clinic Quick Care providers offer walk-in care for basic illnesses; prevention and wellness services; lab services including rapid strep tests, urinalysis, pregnancy tests, screenings for glucose, cholesterol and STIs; and commonly needed over-the-counter healthcare supplies.
Quick Care services are cash-based with transparent pricing, making it a unique option for those who have high deductibles, or who may otherwise have postponed or avoided healthcare services due to cost. Those who would prefer to reserve a time may schedule a same-day or next day appointment online. Quick Care hours at Main Street Clinic are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Nelson joins Kristin Badenhorst, physician assistant-certified, a health care practitioner who has been seeing patients at Main Street Clinic since it opened in spring 2020.
Main Street Clinic, powered by Winona Health, is located at 107 West Fourth Street (corner of Fourth and Main streets) in downtown Winona. For more information about providers, services and prices at Main Street Clinic, visit www.mainstreetclinicmn.org.
