Buffalo County COVID-19 Vaccination Status

(1/27/2021)

Buffalo County is currently in the process of vaccinating phase 1A individuals.

Currently phase 1A is eligible to receive the vaccine including

• Frontline health care workers

• Residents in long-term care facilities (nursing homes and assisted living facilities)

• Police, fire, and EMS personnel

Phase 1A vaccination has been complicated by recent shortfalls in vaccine ordered versus vaccine delivered. As a result, this phase is taking longer to complete. Buffalo County Public Health will not be moving on to further phases until all phase 1A individuals have been offered the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced today that adults 65 years of age or older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine through local health departments once phase 1A is completed. Those that are 65 and older who wish to receive the vaccine through their healthcare provider are eligible starting January 25, 2021. Those interested are encouraged to contact their healthcare provider first to schedule a vaccination.

If you are eligible for the vaccine and cannot make arrangements through your healthcare provider, please fill out the form below, or call our main line at 608-685-4412 and then press 1. Please be patient with us as we work through this process.
