Winona Police 

Tuesday, March 2

• At 6:18 p.m. officers arrested Abel Hernandez, 41, of Joliet, Ill., and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after initially pulling him over for reportedly crossing the fog line on Fourth and Huff streets. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.15 percent. 

Wednesday, March 3

• At 7:39 p.m. officers cited Emilio Ryan Martinez, 18, of Winona, with violating a domestic abuse no contact order. According to the report, officers observed Martinez in the residence of someone the order prevents him from contacting on the 900 block of West Fifth Street. 

Thursday, March 4

• At 9:30 a.m. officers arrested Jacob Peck, 39, of Winona, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after receiving a report of him talking to himself and looking in windows on the 100 block of East Third Street. 

• At 3:10 p.m. officers arrested Matthew Marquette, 29, of Rochester, Minn., on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of disorderly conduct following a disturbance at Menards. 

 

Winona County 

Tuesday, March 2

• At 4:19 p.m. deputies received a report that copper wire was cut out of and stolen from a cell phone tower on the 27,000 block of County Road 15. 

Thursday, March 4

• At 12:37 p.m deputies arrested Jonathan Gonzalez, 25, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. While executing a search warrant on the 600 block of Sarnia Street, deputies reportedly found marijuana, marijuana wax and THC gummies. 

Sunday, March 7

• At 7:26 p.m. deputies arrested Wayne Bruce Bonbargen, 62, of St. Charles, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of second-degree driving while intoxicated after initially pulling him over for reportedly speeding on County Road 33 near Lang Drive. 

He reportedly refused to take a breath test. 

 

Trempealeau County 

Sunday, March 7

• At 1:19 p.m. Arcadia Police Department officers and Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested Michael William Andre, 34, of Independence, Wis. Officers reportedly responded to a panic alarm from the Express Mart gas station on West Main Street in Arcadia, Wis., and dispatch received a 911 call soon after from someone in the store. According to the report, the person said that a man with a black sweatshirt and neck gator pointed a gun at a clerk and demanded money. The man allegedly fled after the clerk gave him $100. When deputies stopped the vehicle, they reportedly found items used in the robbery.
