Sexton, Louise A.

(12/29/2016)

Louise A. Sexton, 64, of North Mankato, Minn., was called suddenly to her eternal home into the arms of her beloved Savior and parents on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, with her family at her side at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato, Minn., due to complications of a heart attack.

During the last days of her life she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, and was blessed with a wonderful Christmas surrounded by her loved ones. Her faith and love of family was shown every day in all that Louise did and the way she lived her life. She was loved and cared for by many. In her leisure time she loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking, cooking, and traveling. Family was everything to her.

Louise was born on July 8, 1952, to Harold and Donna (Stevens) Schuppenhauer. On June 15, 1974, she married Mark William Sexton at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winona, Minn. She was the proud owner of a Farmers Insurance agency with her husband Mark for 35 years. She was an active member of her church, St. Mark's, and its ladies aid and altar guild. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, Mark, of 42 years, of North Mankato, Minn.; son, Brent Sexton (Kate) of Mankato, Minn.; son, Tim Sexton (Stephanie) of Savage, Minn.; daughter, Jennifer Licht (Dave) of Madison Lake, Minn.; brother, Steve Schuppenhauer (Carrie) of Eagan, Minn.; and six grandchildren, Carter, Ty, Blake, Treven, Cayden, and Ava (and one on the way); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and Harold Schuppenhauer.

Services to celebrate Louise will be held on Saturday, December 31, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church, Mankato, with Pastor Keith Siverly officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 30, at Woodland Hills Funeral Home, Mankato, and beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Mark Venem, Brian Duenow, Larry Olfert, Walt Baumann, Arn Kind, Chad Ostermann, and Carl Ziemer. Honorary pallbearers will be Louise's grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be directed to Risen Savior Lutheran School, 502 West Seventh Street, Mankato, Minn., 56001.
