Patricia Yahnke Ramer was born in Winona to Mark and Lillian Yahnke. She was baptized and received First Communion and Confirmation at St. Stanislaus Church. Her Confirmation name, Leona, was chosen to honor her aunt and sponsor, Leona Yahnke.

She married Frank Ramer on January 3, 1952, at St. Stanislaus and they were married for 46 years. Frank died on June 8, 1998. They had two sons, David and Daniel. David married Julie Peterson in White Bear Lake, Minn. He died on July 14, 2016, at the age of 59.

Patricia is survived by her daughter-in-law, Julie Ramer; David’s daughter, her granddaughter, Chloe Barak; her son, Daniel (Vicki) Ramer of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Daniel’s sons, her grandsons, Logan of Whitehall and Daniel of Savage, Minn.; sister, Mary Jo Hoffman (Robert) Bergsrud of Winona; nephews, Edward Hoffman of Winona and Mark Hoffman (Kelly Edmondson); Mark’s children, “Grandma Pat’s” great-nephews and -nieces, Matthew and Michael Hoffman and Trisha (Steven) Mackey, as well as their children, Alex and Abbie of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Michelle (Justin) Holmers, along with their children, Nola, Lily and Juliet of Wayzata, Minn.; special friends and neighbors, Randy and Nancy Lewis, Rev. Rick and Nancy Iglesias and Judy Wolfe of Fountain City; as well as cousins, Mike, Jim, Mimi and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, David; brother-in-law, Edward Hoffman; nephews, Gary and John Hoffman; and several aunts and uncles of the Kangel and Yahnke families.

Patricia has bequeathed her body to the Mayo Clinic, where her cremains will be placed in the clinic vault in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester, Minn.

Pat would like to add special thanks and love to Dr. Richard Ferris and nurses Ann Wagner and Betty Crawford, the staff at Mayo, and Judy Wolfe and Jim and Mary Yahnke for all the support they have given her.
