Augusta Ida (Nunemacher) Verthein, 93, of Altura, died on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Lewiston Senior Living. She was born on May 19, 1926, to August and Viola (Papenfus) Nunemacher. Augusta grew up in Hokah and graduated from Houston High School. She married Kermit Verthein on October 16, 1945.
