Winona Park and Rec announces Lake Lodge closure for the season

Winona Park and Recreation is closing Lake Lodge for the remainder of the season due to treacherous ice conditions: heavy snow creating false ice and rough, uneven surfaces.

Twenty-four hour snowshoe rentals can be accessed through the Park and Recreation office in city hall (207 Lafayette Street, room 105) between 8 and 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday. The fee will be free for Lake Lodge members; it is $10 per person for non-members.

For those of you itching to still put on your ice skates, come to the Ice Disco at Bud King on Friday, March 8, from 6-8 p.m. DJ Music, concessions, free skate rentals (subject to availability) and free admission! Bud King Ice Arena is located at 670 East Front Street.

Lake Lodge will reopen on May 1 with all your favorite biking and watercraft equipment.
