Friendship Center programming

The Winona Friendship Center will be rolling out in-person programming. There will be a maximum of six registrants per class. Classes will still occur via Zoom at their usual time. Please note the following requirements for in-person programming:

•    Registration must be done each week, at least 24 hours in advance.

•    Registrants must have a punch card.

•    Participants are asked to bring their own equipment necessary for class. If this is not possible, please contact the Friendship Center.

•    All participants are asked to read and sign both the COVID-19 Waiver and Release of Liability and the COVID-19 program policies prior to registration.

•    Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please call  507-454-5212

 

Mondays        

•    7-8 a.m. - AWC Workouts – membership - virtual

•    9:30-10:15 a.m. - Generations Connect – free - virtual

•    11:30-12:15 p.m. - Chair Yoga- $3.50 – virtual and in-person (must register)

•    11-noon - AWC Workouts – membership - virtual

 

Tuesdays        

•    8-8:40 a.m. - Strength & Balance - $3.50 – virtual and in-person (must register)

•    9:30-10:30 a.m. - Tai Chi - $3 - virtual

•    1-2 p.m. – teleconference – free – virtual (must register)

•    3-4 p.m. – Aging Mastery – free – virtual (must register)

 

Wednesdays    

•    7-8 a.m. - AWC Workouts – membership - virtual

•    8-9 a.m. - Yoga Mat - $3.50 – virtual

•    10:30-11:30 a.m. - Brain Health – free - virtual

•    11-noon - AWC Workouts – membership - virtual

•    1:30-2:10 p.m. - Zumba Gold - $3.50 – virtual and in-person (must register)

•    2:30-3:30 p.m. - Memory Café- free - virtual

 

Thursdays    

•    8-8:40 a.m. - Movin’ & Groovin’ - $3.50 – virtual and in-person (must register)

•    9 a.m.-4 p.m. – Bridges Health – must call 454-5212 for appointments

•    9:30-10:30 a.m. - Tai Chi - $3 - virtual

•    10:45-11:30 a.m. - Chair Yoga - $3.50 - virtual

•    1-2 p.m. – teleconference – free – virtual (must register)

 

Fridays

Aging Mastery program

•    Tuesday, Feb. 16-Apr. 20 at 3 p.m.

Join us for this 10-week series of guest speakers. The Aging Mastery Program provides a comprehensive and fun approach to positive aging by focusing on key aspects of health, finances, relationships, personal growth, and community development.

Teleconferences

All are virtual and held at 1 p.m. On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the center will host “Big Fun with Miniatures!” provided by Toy & Miniature Museum KC. On Thursday, Feb. 25, the cetner will host a presentation from the General Grant National Memorial.

 

The Active Wellness Center has opened with limited registrations and some restrictions such as mask wearing. Currently two people are allowed to work out for 45 minutes on the top of the hour.

The center is pleased to announce that our students will be returning the week of Monday, January 25, and ready to assist you in your workout routine. Please know that if you feel you cannot exercise with a mask on, there are times available that you may work out alone without the mask, with a monitor in the room. Please indicate to us when you call for your reservation that you cannot wear a mask.
