A 68-year-old Blair, Wis., resident, Ernest Berg, died in two-vehicle crash on Highway 53 near Blair last Thursday evening. Berg had been driving north on Highway 53 and started turning left onto Highway 95, when his SUV collided with a southbound pickup at around 7:04 p.m. on Feb. 25, according to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office.

Berg was transported to Tri-County Memorial Hospital, but died of his injuries, according to the report. The driver of the pickup — a 17-year-old Whitehall, Wis., boy — and another 14-year-old passenger were treated for minor injuries, the sheriff’s office reported. The incident is still under investigation.
