Saint Mary’s University’s Department of Music invites the public to a free performance by the Meadowlark String Quartet on Saturday, March 24, in Figliulo Recital Hall (located in Saint Mary’s Performance Center).
The concert, which will begin at 3 p.m., will feature “String Trio No. 3 in G major, Op. 9 No. 1” by Ludwig van Beethoven; “Three Idylls, H. 67” by Frank Bridge; selections of three Chinese folk pieces: “Tuberosa,” “Butterfly,” and “Chinese New Year Overture;” and “Four, for Tango” by Astor Piazzola. The first half of the evening will feature the string trio and the second half of the concert will feature the entire quartet.
