May 22 and 23 marked the opening weekend at the Wabasha County Historical Society, Reads Landing School Museum. The first visitors, Elizabeth and James Asher from Woodbury, Minn., were presented with the commemorative coin is a special blue velvet box. The Wabasha County Historical Society was very pleased at the number of visitors of all ages, including two former students who toured the museum and received the commemorative coin. There is still an opportunity to visit the museum and receive the commemorative coin celebrating 150 years of the Reads Landing School, the oldest brick schoolhouse in Minnesota. The Reads Landing School Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. until October 10, 2021. Please visit www.wabashacountyhistory.org and like Wabasha County Historical Society on Facebook.
