Both Matt and I, along with all of our eighth grade students at the Winona Middle School, would like to thank the kind people at Minnesota State Southeast Technical College for making our annual student/mentor day an experience to remember.
Our students were able to actively participate in a variety of offerings. Students were driving trucks, changing spark plugs, welding, and printing out 3D images. They were checking a patient’s blood pressure, rebuilding a circuit board, and learning the fine points of styling hair.
We would like to also thank the two people who were instrumental in making this day a success and they are Cindy Kottke and Mark Quamme. Without the help of Cindy and Mark, and cooperation of the students and instructors, this day would not be possible.
It is a real treat to see students respond, and become aware of the many options that lie before them. Thank you to the great people at Southeast Technical!
