It has been suggested that the city ban the lighted cross that shines down on Winona from Garvin Heights. The writer refers to this cross as an “obnoxious lighted display” that blocks the view of the bluffs from his front porch. Just when you think you’ve heard it all!
My suggestion to this writer is that the next time he looks toward this lighted cross, that he look just a little higher toward heaven and envision that this cross serves as a reminder of the “real reason for the season.”
I vote in favor of allowing this light to shine.
