On August 17, 2021, the board of directors of the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) awarded 22 grants for a total of $100,000 in funding to individual artists and arts organizations throughout Southeast Minnesota. In Winona County, the following grants were awarded:

• Scott Leddy received a $3,000 individual artist grant for “Pollinators + of Driftless Prairie.”

• Matthew Wagner received a $3,000 individual artist grant for “Animals of the Driftless.”

• Gina Favano received a $5,000 individual artist grant for “Stories from the Back Channel Podcast.”

• Winona Symphony Orchestra received a $5,000 grant for general operating support.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
