Winona County Sheriff’s Office deputies referred a 19-year-old Minnesota City man to the county attorney Tuesday for potential charges of false imprisonment, threats of violence, second-degree assault and domestic assault.

A juvenile reported that Erick Jhovanni Bustillos-Cavazos allegedly took their keys and phone, then struck them, at a Minnesota City residence in the early morning on August 10. Deputies received the report around 10:55 a.m. When the juvenile tried to leave the residence, Bustillos-Cavazos allegedly chased after them, according to the report. He next allegedly brought the juvenile back to the residence after they tripped. According to deputies, he allegedly assaulted the juvenile repeatedly, on one occasion standing over them with a knife and threatening to stab them.
