Winona Police 

Monday, August 30

• At 9 a.m. officers received a report that a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on the 1250 block of Riverview Drive. 

• At 8:30 p.m. officers arrested Hunter Matthew Mccutchen, 25, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of violating a domestic abuse no contact order. He allegedly was at a residence he is prohibited from being at by the order on the 650 block of West Fourth Street. 

Tuesday, August 31

• At 3:53 p.m. officers received a report that a pair of socks was stolen at Rogan’s Shoes. 

Wednesday, September 1

• At 8:18 a.m. officers received a report that a wallet was stolen from a vehicle at some point between August 19 and August 20. The person who reported the theft was unsure where it happened, according to the Winona Police Department. 

• At 3:38 p.m. officers received a report that a grey Trek bicycle was stolen on the 650 block of East Second Street. 

Friday, September 3

• At 11:53 a.m. officers arrested Kaleb Michael Komperud, 19, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of violating a harassment restraining order. He allegedly rode a bicycle by the house of the person the order prevents him from contacting on the 950 block of East Eighth Street. 

• At 3:06 p.m. officers received a report that a handgun and crossbow were stolen from a house on the 500 block of Westdale Avenue. The incident is under investigation. 

Saturday September 4

• At 3:13 a.m. officers arrested Adam Richard Peterson, 45, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of second-degree driving while intoxicated. Officers initially pulled him over when he allegedly did not stop at a stop sign on Second Street and Mankato Avenue. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.16 percent. 

• At noon officers received a report that the front left side of a vehicle was damaged overnight on the 100 block of West Second Street. 

Sunday, September 5

• At midnight officers responded to an accident with injuries on the 500 block of East Lake Boulevard. A woman who was a passenger sustained lacerations to her hands, according to the report. Potential charges are pending blood-test results for the driver, a 38-year-old Winona man. According to the report, the vehicle lost control, slid down a ditch toward Highway 61 and came to rest on its side. 

• At 3:14 a.m. officers observed an apparent attempted theft of a Yamaha side-by-side on the 750 block of Ronco Avenue. The incident is under investigation. 

Monday, September 6

• At 7:15 p.m. officers received a report that a vehicle was scratched with keys and had eggs thrown on it on the 250 block of West Fifth Street. 

 

Winona County 

Monday, August 30

• At 4:39 p.m. deputies received a report that two trail cameras were stolen from a property on the 14,000 block of County Road 26 near Elba. 

• At 7:55 p.m. deputies received a report that a generator was stolen from a locked shed at some point between August 26 and August 30 on the 32,000 block of Zebel Road near Rushford, Minn.

Tuesday, August 31

• At 8:17 a.m. deputies received a report that about $200 in loose change and small bills was stolen from a residence on the 32,000 block of County Road 1 near Dakota. 

Wednesday, September 1

• At 1 p.m. deputies arrested Katrina Marie Brett, 25, of Stockton, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. According to the report, deputies went to a residence in Stockton with a warrant as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. When they arrived, they stopped Brett, who was leaving in a vehicle. Deputies then allegedly found 0.25 grams of cocaine in the vehicle, in addition to 2 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia including a pipe in the house. 

Saturday, September 5

• At 12:10 a.m. a man allegedly assaulted another person on the 16,000 block of Sandstone Drive near Utica, then fled. Deputies are searching for the man. 

Sunday, September 6

• At 6:39 p.m. deputies arrested Chrystopher Jerald Verba, 23, of Stoughton, Wis., and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. Deputies reportedly found THC vaping cartridges with him in a vehicle on I-90 near mile marker 273.
